May 27:

A-Math Length-Word Problem
-I burned that there are 1000g in a kg, 100cm in a m, etc.
-My good points: I understand more than before and it will teach me on measuring length. I also found some strategies on solving problems in length.
-My weak points is: I always forgot that there are 100cm in a meter, I wrote it 1000cm in a meter.

B-English-Writing a narrative
-My story is about a child's name reason, he is teased because of his name.
-I have difficulties in thinking on what story will I make.
-I like about my story is that theres a strategy to find out the reason of your name.

C-Unit of Inquiry-Summarizing impact of rainforest
-I learned and realized that I need to do something to help the rainforest.
-I need to know more about thee destruction of rainforest because I like to to know about it.
-I feel that we are destroying the Earth for our lives.


May 2008:

Unit of Inquiry
My difficulties in the assessment on "Impact of Rainforest" are the following;
-I'm hard up in thinking for more information.
-Its hard to spell indigenous people.
-I tried to remember some information and I am confused too.
- Some information I think its wrong
I think I need to do something to help my remembers.

22 May:

Unit of Inquiry Reflection
Today in Unit of Inquiry, we discussed about biodiversity in rainforest. After we discussed about it, we did the jigsaw. We explained to other groups. I learned about biodiversity in rainforest, like 50 to 90% of rainforests' species. We also summarised them in the library and when we are done with the draft, we wrote it in the final paper.


Math Reflection
Today in Math, we picked a partner and we discussed the problem that Mr. Perico gave us. Its very easy that it can make me made it faster, but we're not done because I need to write it beautifully and complete sentence.



3 May:

Math Reflection
Today in Maths, We sat like the group purple, green etc. The real is that, I forgot what is my color. But, I remembered my group members. We worked an activity with so many questions that is very hard and I'm very confused.

May 15:

Unit of Inquiry Reflection
Task: Group research on "Rainforest of the world".
Just now in unit of inquiry, I learned more about the climate of tropical rainforest, like there are two kinds of seasons, they are dry and wet seasons. We were grouped by our expert topic like climate of the rainforest make a group, etc. We were grouped like that because we will discuss it with others. We also wrote the questions about the terrarium but its group by the group of the terrarium. We build questions like, how can we water the plant if it is covered by the plastic, etc.



English Reflection
Task: Writing a narrative with writing buddy.
Today in English, we continued our narrative story with our buddies. Then Mr. Perico read some narrative story from others. I learned that we shouldn't be in a rush because our story will be very bad.

5 May:

Learning Journal in Math
Last week in maths, I learned some new shapes like, Trapezium, Equilateral triangle, etc. Trapezium has a parallel line and one of the horizontal line must be longer than the other. Rhombus is a square that is italic, there are 2 parallel lines, 2 acute and 2 obtuse angles, the measurements must be the same and the opposite angle must be the same. Parallelogram is the same as rhombus but its a rectangle that is italic. Equilateral triangle is a triangle that has the same measurements and all the angles are the same. Isosceles triangle is a triangle that has two same side that has the same measurements and has two same angles and an acute angle on the top. Right angled-triangle is a triangle that has a right angle.

Learning Journal in English
Last week in English, Our information is about storms and theres so many kinds of it like; hailstorm, firestorm, sea storm, etc. we continued our draft. After we are done with the draft, so we called on Mrs Yolanda to edit our work, and gave feedbacks. Then, we revised the things that has errors on it. My group just have errors in introduction and conclusion. Except for the causes and effects. After that we published our work on Microsoft Publisher and we tried to finish it but we can't finish it because its time. So we share our information and we also borrowed book s about our topic.

Learning Journal in Unit of Inquiry
Last week in unit of Inquiry, we went to MataKucing and we found out more about rain forest. Matakucing is a forest that is safe and I found out some foods that the animals eats like parrots eat nuts, monkey eat chip, etc. We also watched "Tarzan 2" and we gather some information there. I love to know people live in the forest, names of trees, plants and animals there and I also want to know how people get foods there.

UOI Time
Today in UOI, I learned about tropical rain forest. Tropicaol rain forest is the rain forest near the equator. Its threated by people. It used 100 to 400 inches of rain a year, etc.The way the powerpoint explained is very clear and Mr. Perico got it from a school. I showed respect there and appreciation and I also like the way explained.


7 May:

Math Reflection
Yesterday, I found it hard in answering the questions in the booklet. It is very hard that I already wanted to explode. So I ask Nael about it but I still don't understand. So I tried to ask Mr. Perico but it is time. The question is in number 7 in 18.2 question b).

22 April:

Reflection
Yesterday in UOI, I learned about the disasters around the world. I know more about the causes and effects of the disasters. We all discuss together and Mr. Perico will question the people who didn't recite. We all are getting more knowledge. Earth changes because because of natural disasters too and it is the dangerous cause of Earth. Example of natural disasters are; typhoon, tsunami, tornado, flood, earthquakes, volcanoes etc.

Symmetry
After watching the video, I learned that symmetry has in architecture, nature and art. It is kind of interesting to me because I love nature and I love to find out about it. The video is good for grade 4 students because the way it explains can make students understand. Symmetry is in real life because people build things using symmetry. We learned about symmetry because our dream might be be to be a builder, artist etc.

My reading on Erosion and Weathering
I didn't rad about erosion and weathering. I have some questions that I love to know. They are;
1) What is the meaning of weathering and erosion?
2) What can weathering effects us?
3) Why is there erosion?

The answers are;
1) Weathering is a break down of rocks, solids etc.
Erosion is form the nature like landslide, avalanche etc.
2) Weathering can affect us to die.
3) Theres erosion because of gravity caused by nature.
The causes of this changes because of nature, pollutions etc.



23 April:

Science Investigation Time
Our experiment is about how do fires turns off. It is kind of interesting because the fire turns off without water or blowing. It's because of carbon-dioxide and I learned thatr carbon-dioxide puts off fire.
My favorite experiment is Rizqi's and Hafizh's experiment because their experiment is "Color Change". First they put qa half of water and put food color green. Then, they put a toothpick and bleach. It turns to yellow. The thing that I was confused is that what is the toothpic for?



24 April:

Reflection
Yesterday in English, we typed our persuasive essay in Microsoft Publisher. When my work is done, I saved it but its not responding. So I started it again. I had a hard time in making the pictures smaller because its too big and I can't see the things that I typed in there.
In UOI, we explained our experiment. Our experiment is about the effect of carbon-dioxide to a burning candle. It is about carbon-dioxide affect a candle. First you need to put two candles in a tray and one of them is covered and the other not covered. And I learned that carbon-dioxide puts of fire. The experiment that I like is Rizqi's and Hafizh's experiment because they told us how to change color. I like it because its so interesting.
In Math, We all continued our activity with our buddies. We sre done with our work and Mr. Perico called us to continue at home, then, Mr. Perico gave us another activity about Area and Perimeter. I did it with Sallyna and we finished it.

15 April:

Math Time!!!!

The concepts I leant in maths are about perimeters. Perimeters are things that was added in the figure's line. If area, we need to multiply the boxes inside the figure. P is for perimeter, B 9is for Breath, L is for length. The thing that I learnt also is to do my homework.

I'm not confused with anything but the first time, I'm so confused in area and perimeter.


Movie Making Project

In our group, I showed cooperation. I showed it when I was helping each other. I also showed commitment because I'm done collecting pictures, so I helped Hendro and Cassandra. I also showed appreciation because when Mr. Perico looked at our work, I love it. Enthusiasm is also the attitude that I showed, because even I hate collecting pictures, I still do it for my group. Creativity too, because I tried to help my friends to make the video nicer.


Reflection

I watched a video names "Little Manhattan". Gabe is a person who is better than me. The way he talk is different. The attitudes of him in the video are appreciation, confidence, curiosity, tolerance, respect, independence and enthusiasm. The profiles are thinker, knowledgeable, inquirer, open-minded, risk-taker, well-balance and reflective. I like the place where his staying but I hate the way their parents divorce.



16 April:

Today in maths, we got an assessment like top ten. But the questions is more than top ten. It is kind of fun because I enjoyed it. I like the assessment because it is kind of challenging. It is related to engineer because it is like building something. And thats my project. I will start my plan tonight and make my park beautiful. There are so many students chose park because it is so interesting, their good in drawing and planning and it's very tough. I hope I can win and I'll try my best to do those things. My plan is to build a good park for people and I'll try to not to use the whole space because it's for people to exercise.



18 April:

Reflection

English:
Yesterday in English, we talked about adverbs, for example; sweetly, hard, late, quickly, clearly etc. A complete sentence has a noun and verb. Adverb is just to make the verb powerful like hyperbole. We can use that for making it so powerful so people can trust you. this is an example of a sentence with adverb; Alvianto run slowly.


Maths:
In maths, we have an assessment of "Area and Perimeter". I got some wrong answer because I didn't count all the cm. I learned to be faster in answering and I need to be careful in answer.


UOI:
In UOI, I tried to finish my video so Mr. Perico can check my work and make it as a video. But, I did it, I called on Rizqi because my computer is always heng and I learned how to revive my work on Windows Movie Maker.

English:
Today in English, I wrote an exclamation about "Changing Shorelines". We exchanged our work to give feedback. When two of them gave me feedbacks, I did more things about changing shorelines. The feedbacks are; Please include more causes and effects and please make people understand your work.

Today in computer, all things worked well. Me and Angela were collecting so many pictures about changing shorelines and Hendro and Cassandra were working whinle importing the the pictures that Angela and I downloaded. We were collecting pictures while Hendro and Cassandra were making the storyboard.
